Τον Παύλο και το Νικολιό...

I've been looking for some time for a way to bring my old Vinyl discs into an MP3 player. This problem with many solutions is as old as anything in the digital world of modern day geeks. There's nothing new to report other that modern solutions offer far better quality, are much easier to work with and aesthetically way more beautiful. Mine consists of an AKAI ATT05U player with a USB output, an iMAC and Audacity, the Open Source wave editing free solution that works like a charm, with filters and all!

My first Vinyl that I tried was a pot-pouri of songs published by EMI in the 70ies, performed by the greatest troubadour of contemporary Greece, Grigoris Bithikotsis (R.I.P.), singing songs of another, the greatest, contemporary Greek composer, the man behind Zorba the Greek, Mikis Theodorakis.

Enjoy one of these songs, "Τον Παύλο και το Νικολιό", so typical of them both, singer and composer, and so typical of the great Greek popular music sound.
