Where is the problem here?


Who ever said that mobile devices are only for fun and not educational? That's a nice one from a free iPad app called Optical illusions. Can you find why this is not possible?

I'll relieve you from your misery... The red and green orthogonal triangles should have proportionately equal angles for the drawing to make sense. Apparently they haven't. The ratio between their two vertical sides is different. In the case of the green it is 2 over 5 (0.4) whereas the red's ratio is 3/8 (0.375). Therefore the two original shapes (illusionary orthogonal triangles to the naked eye) are not identical as the illusion might convince you, and their hypotenuse should be shown 'broken' (not a straight line) at the point where they meet.
